Debbie

I was born in England but have lived in Italy for 30 years. I have been  a Cambridge speaking examiner for 10 years and have been preparing students for Cambridge exams in local high schools for 15 years. Having two daughters, both of whom speak English and Italian and the younger one also Spanish, I have seen for myself how important languages are particularly in the world of work. So, I’m here to help you gain the skills you need to succeed.

In my free time, I enjoy travelling, reading and gardening. One of the favourite places to travel to is Spain.

Sarah

I was born in St Helens, near Liverpool in the UK. I’ve been an English teacher since 1994 and have worked in the UK, The Czech Republic, Greece and Italy. I have lived in Pistoia, Tuscany since 1998.

I have been preparing students for Cambridge exams for over twenty years and I became a Speaking examiner in 2018. I am passionate about helping my students to pass exams.

I am also a published travel writer and in my free time, I love reading, writing, travelling and music.

Sarah

I’m from London in the UK.
I live in Tuscany, Italy, where for the past 23 years I have been working in State schools and various firms as an ESL teacher and a Cambridge exams tutor.
I have a genuine passion for my subject, which I believe really shows in my teaching and my students’ results. I aim to make lessons as fun as possible.
In my spare time, I sing in an Ethnic choir, so yoga, go to the gym and travel whenever I can.
I look forward to teaching you.

Andrea

I am an English teacher by vocation and have 10 years experience teaching English to children and teenagers in different schools in London and Madrid. I have experience teaching post school group classes and individual lessons.

I enjoy using creative materials and interactive activities for my students to enjoy while they learn.

I look forward to helping your child improve his or her English. See you soon!

Mercedes

I am of both British and Mexican nationality. I graduated from Reading University in International Relations and Italian Studies. I then obtained a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language ) from International House, London. I lived and worked as an English teacher in Italy teaching both adults and children in various different schools and language centres. I also taught English in London at an International English school for foreign students.
I currently work in a Primary school near Bath (UK) supporting children with learning difficulties.
I love travelling with my children and husband. We have visited different countries in Europe and have been to various regions of Mexico. As I lived in Italy for a few years I also speak Italian. We also lived in Kenia and travelled around this beautiful country which was an unforgettable experience.
I am very keen on cinema and theatre and I love going to the ballet and the opera.

In my free time, I enjoy travelling, reading and gardening. One of the favourite places to travel to is Spain.

Aldo

Hello, everyone! I was born and raised in the United States (Chicago), but my parents were both born in Italy. I have been an ESL teacher for the last twenty-five years. I have worked in both the United States and in Europe. I have studied many languages over the years, so I know that learning a new language is not always easy. However, I also know that with a positive attitude and fun activities you can do it. It takes practice, practice and more practice! I love meeting people, travelling, eating new foods, and taking walks in the mountains.

Wendy

I’m from Wolverhampton in the centre of England, but now I live in Prato, central Italy.
I’ve been teaching English for 25 years, and I’ve been a Cambridge examiner since 2015. I’ve gained part of the
Cambridge DELTA qualification. I love languages and teaching, in fact I also speak Italian, Spanish and French,
and thankfully my 13-year-old daughter is learning too!
In my free time I enjoy reading (especially crime fiction), and (when possible!) travelling.

Why did we create Pass Cambridge Exams?

My name is Diana, and I have always liked communication and languages.

My younger sister is dyslexic, but she didn’t find out about it until she finished school.
In her last school year, while reading an article about the characteristics of dyslexic people, she found that she met all of the criteria. She was tested and dyslexia was confirmed.

While she was studying physiotherapy at university, she was helped by visits to a speech therapist, and her grades took a 180-degree turn. Learning required half the effort, and her results were much better.

Now she has two beautiful daughters, and both have dyslexia, each with different characteristics. They study in a trilingual school, Spanish – English – French, and the languages require quite a lot of hard work.

I lived in the UK for 6 years, so when I saw the difficulties my nieces had, I started working with their speech therapist and Mercedes, who is a teacher specialised in teaching English in the UK to dyslexic students.

Learning a language in the traditional way can be very frustrating for dyslexic students. For this reason, our training courses have been fully created to the dyslexic way of learning. They will help them improve their English and also learn a way to study any language.

All the content of the courses has been created to help dyslexic students enjoy and make learning an easier process.
However, this is a website for everyone who wants to learn English, not only for dyslexic students.
Thanks to Sarah, Debbie and Mercedes, who contributed to creating the courses, you can enjoy Pass Cambridge Exams.

We hope our lessons and courses help you ease the way.
